A bomb threat against Niles North was deemed not credible, according to an Oct. 12 press release from the Skokie Police Department. Two students made the threat in an online conversation.
To further inform students and their families, Superintendent Tom Moore sent out an email reporting that District 219 is taking the threat seriously.
“We are presently addressing the students’ actions through the Board’s disciplinary procedures,” Moore wrote. “Due to the threatening nature of those actions and disruption to the educational process, discipline may be up to and including expulsion, whether credible or not.”
Moore added that “measures have been taken to ensure everyone’s safety.”
