The annual Art Gallery was Wednesday, Dec. 14 above the auditorium to celebrate art students’ hard work at the end of the semester.
The Art Gallery showcases over 100 pieces of art with no specific theme of students who have taken an art class including works of the photography, drawings, and ceramics classes.
“Art is meant to be seen. We do this to show off our students’ talents and all of their accomplishments throughout the semester,” said art teacher and an organizer of the gallery Barbara Wismer.
Students and artists are anticipating the show this year. Junior Jeanette Habash has had artwork for three years in a row, is now in A.P. Art Studio, and says she loves to see her work on display.
“I feel that when people see my work, it is appreciated and doesn’t go by unnoticed. It keeps me motivated as an artist,”
Habash said.

It’s good that the art show got some coverage, but to me, this article seems a bit short and didn’t exactly do the show justice. Perhaps it could’ve been longer, and some first semester art students could have been interviewed. I know I would have jumped at the chance to be interviewed and I had so much fun at the art show with my friends… C:

I think this is a great article because the visual art department is not always interviewed. It’s really nice to see this. Looking forward to more coverage of art shows!
