With the Fall season coming up, snuggling up with a blanket, some coffee and a good book is the perfect way to relax and enjoy the change of seasons. I can always get lost in a book, but the fall weather makes reading so much more enjoyable. As the leaves change and it gets colder, it’s the perfect time to start reading some Autumn books. Here are some of my fall favorites:
November 9th by Colleen Hoover
This book is perfect to read in the fall since it takes place in November. The two characters, Fallon and Ben, meet every November ninth, and a very cute but deep romance builds off of their dates. This book aligns with the autumn season and readers can relate to the characters and the setting, which makes the book much more heartwarming. The stories’ charm comes from the simplicity of them meeting only on November ninth, and it is a perfect book to read for people looking for a sweet but emotional read during the autumn season.
The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling
This book does a great job of blending contemporary romance and “witchcraft”. The story takes place in the small town of “Charm” which is know for its magic and witches. Vivienne Jones, the main character, comes from a long line of witches but is trying to distance herself from that magical world. Throughout the book, a romance blooms between Vivenne and Rhys, her high school sweetheart. Since Halloween just passed, this book carries the spirit of Halloween and “magic” as it offers a cozy read for those who miss the Halloween season.
You, Again by Kate Goldbeck
Here’s another romance book recommendation, since romance is the best genre to read in the fall. Before even reading the book, it is obvious it is a good, cozy read for the fall based on the cover. The cover shows the two love interests, Ari and Josh, walking in a forest with colorful leaves falling all around them. The changing leaves are my favorite part of autumn and although you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, the cover is what really drew me to the book. The growing romance between Josh and Ari kept me invested and it was just a very enjoyable read.
If you are ever looking to do something chill and relaxing, I would recommend sitting in a coffee shop with a nice warm hot coffee and one of these books.
