This year, all Illinois public schools switched to the ACT. In order to help juniors better prepare for this new testing format, D219 is partnering with Academic Tutoring & Test Prep to teach students effective testing strategies and gain confidence with the ACT.
The preparation classes will consist of one 4-hour graded pre-class exam and ten 1.5-hour instructional sessions taught by D219 staff members. There will also be a one-time 4-hour boot camp offered. These will help both students and staff prepare for the ACT.
All juniors were emailed an interest form regarding days and times that would work for them, in order to decide the specific dates of the classes. The interest forms sent to juniors are due Jan. 17. These will then be reviewed to decide and release additional registration information.
