All District 219 schools except Bridges Adult Transition Center will be closed, and have an e-learning day on Friday, Feb. 14, due to a water main break. Principal Jeremy Christian announced around 7:30 a.m. that all students and staff must exit the school. Buses will be rerouted for students to return home.
“No matter what you heard from anyone, we are transitioning to an e-learning day…It has been communicated that all D219 schools are heading into an e-learning day today. With that being said, students, if you’re in the building, you have buses that will be coming back to our school… This is only due to a water main break, [and] there is no threat,” Christian told students and staff over the announcements.
All after school activities are cancelled. Students must complete assignments and submit attendance by 3 p.m. on Canvas.
“Enjoy today, but it’s an e-learning day so make sure you do what we talked about, lock in,” Christian added on the Niles West Instagram account, @nileswestwolves219.
