Throughout the school, staff and students are congratulating the nominees for their outstanding work and personality.
“Congratulations to these students. It’s stories like these that make our work worth while,” says teacher’s assistant Vasilios Papaioannou.
Junior Jasmine Sanchez agrees.
“Having classmates and friends get nominated for [the You Make a Difference award] inspires [myself and others] to follow in their footsteps. Congratulations,” says Sanchez.
The students recognized were Alyssa Alvarez, Narcis Ardelean, Sana Attal, Sam Brines, Shavina Chav, Maridsa Choute, Ann Erdene, Kelsey Galicia, Jessica Govis, Khadiji Hamid, Ellen Kim, Akshar Kumar, Lauren Langer, Jason Magel, Barbara Magiera, Janella Manalang, Justin Nena, Michael Nissan, Theodore Noparstak, Lisa Peter, Kathreen Polus, Toni Poyser, Reyvin Reyes, Lia Sacks, Ninue Sadek, Maya Sato, Divya Shah, Benny Truong, Jacob Veliciu, Yeon-Haw Wang, Lynetta Wilson, and Tachung Yi.
These students will also get a t-shirt and a You Make a Difference bracelet along with the award.
