Niles West will host its annual Sophomore College Information Night tonight at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.
At this event, sophomores will be informed about college through tips given by various people. This information will help sophomores find a college that suits them. Sophomores will also be given tips about how to apply to different colleges.
“The Sophomore College Information night is to help the class of 2014 to start thinking about their post high school plans. It is never too early to begin thinking about the process,” said college and career counselor Daniel Gin.
Gin believes this event aids students in selecting colleges and junior classes.
“The better prepared a student is about their plans, the easier it will be when the student starts to apply for college. Also, it will help the sophomores when they start thinking about their junior classes. An informed consumer is one who is prepared. Preparation takes work, and this is something the students can do to help them for college,” said Gin.
