To acknowledge the month of March as Youth Art Month, art work from each art student will be displayed in the Niles West Art Gallery, starting Thursday, March 1 at 6:00 p.m.
The show is taking place to display the art work of students from all of the art classes for the celebration of National Youth Art Month. Works from students in AP studio art, Art Foundations, Ceramics, Photography,and more will be showcased.
“The purpose of the March art show is to acknowledge March as Youth Art Month,” said visual arts teacher, John Zilewicz.
Artwork in the showcases are chosen by the Niles West art teachers. The work featured is a piece from each art student, for the sole purpose of celebrating and acknowledging youth art.
“One piece from each art student is chosen, typically students from last semester,” Zilewicz said.
The artwork will be up for display in the showcases in the Niles West Art Gallery for the month of March.
