AP Pre-Registration will be held Tuesday, April 17 in the cafeteria during first and second period. Students who have already registered to take any AP exams are required to attend the pre-registration.
Testing Coordinator Mary Nolan-Bridges encourages enrolling in AP classes and taking AP tests.
“It’s a great way to get college credit. Juniors and seniors save money if they do well. It’s $87 per exam but it can save you tons of money in college because it’s better than paying $200 for a class,” said Nolan-Bridges.
Students are advised to bring a pencil, pen, photo ID, ruler/straightedge, calculator, and a light snack on the day of testing.
Students who take the AP exams have the opportunity to receive college credit if they score well on the tests (scoring a 4 or 5).
“Most students who are registered to take the AP test are already in AP classes. Usually the students can take the test without any preparation. Also, the AP test is open to all students, regardless of grade level or the weight of the student’s current classes,” said College and Career Counselor Dan Gin.
