Representatives from 265 universities and post high school programs will be attending district 219’s annual college night scheduled for Wednesday, April 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
The goal behind college night is to prepare students for life after high school. Representatives from the different post high school programs will be in attendance to provide students with vital information regarding their options.
“This year our college night is a lot bigger than in previous years. There will be 265 different schools in attendance rather than the usual 230,” said College and Career Resource Center counselor, Daniel Gin.
Schools from around the nation will have present representatives available to assist and recruit students. As well as, schools from Canada, England, and Switzerland who will be providing information on entrance requirements, special programs, and admission procedures.
“Students should come prepared with a bag filled with necessary materials. Such as labels with your name, phone number, email address, and so on. As well as a list of questions you want to be answered,” advised Gin.
Any interested district 219 students are welcome and encouraged to attend the upcoming college night.
