A memorial ceremony for Nathan Palma, who died on October 20, 2011, is scheduled to be held on Friday, May 25 in the South Lobby at 3:45 pm.
The ceremony will include a speech given by Nathan’s older brother, Patrick Palma, and the unveiling of a mural made by his close friends. Palma’s friends have been preparing for the memorial every Tuesday after his death.
“Everyone’s invited to come, we hope to have a big turn out,” says senior and close friend, Rouen Fajutrao.
Fajutrao believes that this will be a great way to honor Palma’s memory, and says, ” He’d be pretty happy and grateful because we really appreciate him.”
His counselor, Ann Alegnani agrees.
“[It’s] fabulous, all the things being done just for him, he would be pleased and his family is also very happy,” Alegnani says.
Palma was also honored at the Accolades ceremony last Wednesday, May 16 with a scholarship in his name.
According to Fajutrao, the memorial is open to the public.
