The NWN interviewed senior Jeremy Bergman about Ultimate Frisbee Club and its activities.
NWN: What is the best thing about Ultimate Frisbee?
Bergman: Ultimate frisbee isn’t about the epic throws, it’s not about the sick catches. It’s about the gracious people.
NWN: What does Ultimate mean to you?
Bergman: Ultimate Frisbee is not just a game but a way of life. It’s a game that I have fallen in love with and I love it so much that I always carry around a disc.
NWN: What makes it so fun?
Bergman: What makes Ultimate fun is the way it’s played. It’s a gentlemen sport played with your best, or soon-to-be-best, buds. The plays are sick and it’s a fast paced sport that requires intelligence, patience, and speed. There [are so many] positions and variations that Ultimate is never repetitive.
NWN: What do you want to say to other students about the club?
Bergman: Ultimate is a great way to meet new people and have fun. We’ll teach them how to toss. It’s great exercise.
Ultimate Frisbee meets on Wednesdays and Fridays (weather permitting) after school outside the field house. If you have any questions, contact sponsor Robert Nortillo.
