Students can sign up in the Student Commons or at of A.C.E. sponsor Richard Costante’s desk in the main office. In order to participate, students need to bring in one can of food, which will go to the Niles Township Food Pantry. If particpants want a T-shirt, the price is $5.
One of A.C.E.’s sponsors and varsity softball coach Nicole Reynolds says that students should sign up because the game will be fun and will be a great bonding experience.
“Students should sign up because student vs. staff games are a lot of fun. We try to hold the game to have some fun and build some camaraderie,” Reynolds says.
Senior A.C.E. president Monika Sosnowka thinks that the football game is a great way to stay active.
“Rumor is teachers have gone undefeated in all the student vs. staff athletic games and we want to change that! This event is also a great way to interact with your teachers and friends outside of school while staying active and having a good time,” Sosnowka says.
Senior A.C.E member Andrew Mudreac says that students should attend because it will be interesting to watch the student and staff interaction.
“It’s interesting to learn that some teachers are pretty decent at football and it’s kind of funny to watch them try to beat students,” Mudreac says.
