The Niles West News had a chance to talk to head basketball coach, Bob Williams about the upcoming season.
Q. How do you plan to do this season?
A. Going in you need to look at where you’re at, find ways to be the best, and work to achieve your potential. Each day, you have to work to be a little bit better.
Q. What are your goals for the season?
A. I never set goals for the season. Setting goals can limit your potential.
Q. What are your strengths?
A. We have good size. We have a whole bunch of people who are very athletic. When you have people who are willing to work hard and play hard, you are bound to have a very good defensive team.
Q. What are your weaknesses?
A. I think one big concern has been rebounding. Hopefully, when we have size, it will be better this year.
Q. Are there any injuries affecting the team?
A. As a coach, it is a relief because we are going in healthy.
You can see the boys in action at Glenbrook North this Tuesday when they participate in the 39th Billy D. Schnurr tournament.
