The Freshman Mentor program at Niles West is looking for new mentors for the 2013-2014 school year.
Applications will become available in Feb. so all prospective mentors can know if they have been selected before spring break. Extensive training and support will be provided for students in order to make them a good mentor.
“We are looking for students with high energy, good follow through, good leadership skills, and a passion for making Niles West a welcoming place for freshman. We want freshman to have an awesome start to their high school experience,” sponsor Ann Alegnani said.
Sophomore Shayne Snyder said that it was a great experience.
“It’s a great experience [where] you meet great people, and it’s loads of fun. I also enjoy helping others” she said.
