C.E.C. Club will be participating in the Maine West Township Education Basketball Tournament starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Maine West.
The team has been practicing every Monday night since Jan. 7. Opponents include Warren, New Trier, Maine West, and Niles North. Game times are 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:15 p.m.
C.E.C. Club sponsor and math teacher Kathleen Brandes feels that students should cheer on their Pathways peers.
“Students should attend to cheer on and support our C.E.C. basketball team who have worked so hard to prepare for this tournament,” Brandes said via email.
Sophomore C.E.C. Club treasure Jesse Sacks agrees with Brandes.
“Students should attend the tournament to show their support for special needs children. Also, students should come out to witness their peers participate in something,” Sacks.
