The fall orchestra concert will be held in the Niles West auditorium on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 pm.
There will be over 150 students in the performance where philharmonic and symphonic orchestras will be playing a variety of orchestral music.
“I think that this will be an outstanding first concert,” Orchestra directer Steven Katz said. “I hope the audience will enjoy all the music being performed.”
Junior Justing Chong who has been playing the bass since the fifth grade shares how he feels about the performing in the concert.
“Personally, I never get nervous when I’m on stage,” he said, “Whether the audience is big or small, I always stay focused on the music. I think most of the people in orchestra have to be like this or else our performances would be terrible. There’s always a feeling of excitement before and during each concert, but we have to stay relaxed and calm so that our feelings don’t affect our playing abilities.”
