The Samsung chrome books are going on sale for $243 until January 2014 or while supplies last.

The Chrome books are $30 dollars less than their retail price value. Along with that, students also have the chance to trade in their working condition Asus Netbook and get $50 off their Chrome book purchase. To trade in a Asus Netbook, the purchase must be completed at the Help Desk via check in order to verify the computer’s condition before the exchange can take place.

“District 219 Administration feels it is important that you bring your school-issued devices to each and every class. We’ve heard some of you have misplaced or broken your device and have not sought assistance at the Help Desk for repair or replacement,” chief technology officer Guy Ballard said.

Sophomore Nichole Lopatin thinks that the chrome book sale is a good idea.

“I think it’s cool because everyone has the same opportunity to get a [chrome book]. Besides the freshman, our computers suck,” said Lopatin.
