Niles West Orchestra and Guitar Director, Steven Katz, has been helping his students with The Orchestra Chamber Music recital that will be held tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. It is free for students and parents to watch. It starts at 7 and goes until approximately 8:30.
He will be conducting at the concert, and leading his students in song.
Everyone in the recital plays a different song for each instrument. There will be cellos, violins, violas, and bass playing songs. Some songs are slower than others, especially for the bass.
“We’ve been preparing for about 2-3 weeks for this recital.” says sophomore Elizabeth Clair, who plays the bass in the recital.
Orchestra students have been working hard practicing for this concert, and they are ready to perform. Arrive early at the auditorium to catch good seats before 7 p.m.
