The Art Exhibit will be held at Niles West on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 pm to display the artwork of first semester students.
The purpose of the event is to showcase the entire art program and artwork of first semester students in one event.
“I’m very excited for the holiday art show,” senior Darius Ardelean said. “Getting into the feel of Christmas and other holidays really puts our group in a joyful mood but adding the love of an art show and witnessing other artist in a show is the cherry on top. It’s going to be a great show for adults, teenagers, and anyone who attends.”
National Art Honor Society (NAHS) president and senior Barbara Magiera hopes that a lot of people will attend the event.
“I want the show to have a big turn out,” she said. “NAHS is putting a lot of effort in to make the show engaging and fun- like creating a winter wonderland photo booth- so we want as many people as possible to see just how great art is at Niles West” she said.
Art director Jason Brown agrees with Magiera.
“[I hope] that the school community and the D219 community will come to the opening and see the artistic abilities of our students.”
Everyone is welcome to attend.
