With a share of extra curricular activities and honors classes, freshman Raj Singh has to work hard to split his time in between track and school work.
“It’s hard to manage my time but I get my homework done right when I get home, which enables me to fulfill my priorities at the gym for track,” Singh said.
In order to stay in shape, Singh sprints the 400 for track. Although it’s hard to stay focused on the sport, he wouldn’t give it up for anything.
“It got hard to manage but I stuck through it and now I love it and it’s all good,” Singh said.
Honors biology and geometry takes a toll on Singh.
“It’s hard because you really have to teach yourself things that you don’t understand, and you really have to work to maintain your grades and athletic work,” he said.
Not doing any sports in middle school, Singh wanted to take on a new role when he got into high school.
“I didn’t really do anything at Lincoln Hall, and it’s great to start getting involved,” Singh said.
In his free time, Singh likes to listen to music and hang out with his friends.
“I listen to it a lot in my free time, especially to focus on my homework,” he said. “I also like to be with my friends, hang out and play video games.”
As Singh continues his second semester as a freshman, he hopes to also take forward the success he had in the first semester.
