Niles West Polish Club is selling traditional scarves for $20 each. You can order one (or more) using a form that was sent to your email from club sponsor Margaret Bower.
“We are donating to one of Poland’s largest non profit organizations- I know every dollar counts,” senior Polish club member Jakub Jamroz said. “I just hope they will be able to purchase useful equipment to save as many children and infants as possible. I hope we sell as many as possible because the more we sell, the more money we can donate to the kids.”
According to Bower, 50% of the proceeds will go to WOSP- a non profit organization located in Poland that purchases high quality lifesaving equipment for hospital to help ill children in hospitals. The scarves are handmade and 100% cotton and come in five different colors: black, blue, green, red, and white.
“I think that’s great. The fact that they’re selling handmade scarves is unbelievable, and the fact that they’re giving money to an organization in Poland because they represent Polish club is amazing,” senior Deepa Pardiwala said. “I mean, I wish that my club — Indo Pak — would do something like that to help out in India.”
Donations will also be accepted on Friday.
