Activities Week will be held this week from Aug. 18 through Aug. 22 outside of the cafeteria and student commons.
“Activities week is a chance for all clubs to advertise during all lunch periods outside the cafeteria and student commons in trying to recruit new members,” said Student Activities Direction Katie Odell.
Odell added, “It’s really important that students get involved because studies show that any student that gets involved in any extracurricular has a much better high school experience and succeeded academically.”
“There’s so many clubs at this school it’s impossible to not join at least one,” said sophomore Delmon Petyo.
Niles West offers over 92 clubs and activities, and some new emerging clubs are Momofuku, Swing Dancing Club, and DIY club according to Odell.
“Activities week is a great way for freshmen like myself to learn about all the many clubs at this school,” said freshman Amina Ademi.
