Tickets to the upcoming winter dance will start being sold to Juniors and Seniors next week (Jan. 12-16).
There are 300 tickets in total, and each is sold for $55 a person including mandatory transportation via coach bus. The dance will be on the Spirit of Chicago cruise ship and will have a live DJ, a full dinner (with unlimited soft drinks)
“I’m really excited for the winter dance,” said Katie Odell, director of student activities. “I like the new sense of fun it brings to the middle of the year. With homecoming in the fall and prom in the spring, this time of the year can seem bland in comparison. I’m hoping the winter dance will bring a welcome change to that.”
Buses will leave Niles West at 5:45 p.m on Saturday, Feb. 7. Students will board the Cruise Ship at 6:30. From 7-10, the ship will be on the water, after which the students will take the buses back to West.
Any leftover tickets can be purchased by Freshman and Sophomores. Students must ride the charter buses to and from Navy Pier in order to be allowed entrance to the dance.
