Throughout the past four years at Niles West, I have noticed that there have been more than a handful students who have a great sense of style. With such a diverse community as West, there all kinds of styles from different cultures that have caught my eye, but there are also outfits that some would call basic that are still interesting. I sat down with senior Emma Hegelson to discuss a very important topic: fashion.
NWN: What’s your go-to outfit?
Hegelson: My go-to outfit is probably jeans, a chambray shirt, some booties, a leather jacket, and a scarf.
NWN: What are some of your inspirations?
Hegelson: I get a lot of my outfit ideas from Pinterest. They have the best outfit inspirations there!
NWN: What is your favorite store to shop at?
Hegelson: I love Old Navy. I always end up finding something that I like there because their clothes are so casual and easy to style.
NWN: What is something that always completes your outfits?
Hegelson: Either a chambray, leather jacket, or my Doc Martens. They go with everything, so they’re super easy to style. You can use them to either dress up or dress down.
NWN: Any style tips?
Hegelson: Always wear something comfortable and makes you feel confident. Make sure you layer in the fall and winter!
