As it gets closer and closer to May the anticipation for Prom begins. The prom season is filled with emotions for students that are prom dress shopping, registering for tickets, and realizing that this is the last event together for the class of 2015 before graduating. To help the upperclassman with some of the questions running through their heads, we sat down with director of student activities, Katie Odell to answer some of them.
NWN: Where is Prom being hosted this year?
Odell: The Hyatt in Rosemont.
NWN: When can seniors purchase their Prom tickets and how much are they?
Odell: Juniors AND Seniors can purchase prom tickets starting Monday, April 27th at the Student Activities ticket booth. Tickets are $80 per person. This includes your transportation, dinner and post prom.
NWN: Is there anything required after purchasing tickets in order to be registered?
Odell: Register online just like any other dance that we’ve had. The link to register is on the Student Activities website. All Non-West Guest forms are due to Student Activities no later than Monday, April 20th. No exceptions.
NWN: What time do students have to arrive at Niles West?
Odell: Check in starts at 5:45pm.
NWN: How will the night be planned out?
Odell: The dance will run from 7-11:30pm.
