The Principal’s Recognition Breakfast will recognize student achievements in sports and classes tomorrow morning in the Black Box Theatre, beginning at 7:30 a.m. . Students who were nominated by a faculty member will attend with their parent or guardian.
Main Office Executive Secretary Judy Wheatman, on the importance of the breakfast, said “This breakfast is the time to be recognize not only by the principal and staff but also gives parent/guardian the opportunity to participate in their child’s accomplishment.”
“I think it’s great that their recognizing academic standards as well as athletic achievements. It’s disappointing that there are no arts recognized at this event,” Senior Shayne Snyder added.
“It’s great to have those kids feel like they did actually accomplish something by being recognized and it pushes them to keep doing better,” senior Albina Purelku said.

Just to clarify a comment made regarding the Principal’s Recognition Breakfast. There were actually 3 students recognized in Fine Arts – James Barbosa (Orchestra), Mira Berkson (Theatre), Nicole Nienow (Visual Arts).
