Tomorrow, October 2nd, the annual Niles West homecoming parade will be making its merry way down Oakton street. Right after the pep assembly, the drums will sound and the fleet of homecoming floats will embark on their celebratory migration at 1:40 PM.
“It will incorporate this year’s theme of ‘A Magical Night.’ There will also be businesses painted along the parade route courtesy of NW Teams and Clubs,” student activities director Katie Odell, said.
The homecoming court and all four cabinets of student government– among several other awesome groups– will be part of the parade’s mighty procession.
“Last year, we decorated the float ourselves. The sponsors bring the floats and then drive us around Skokie…last year, it rained. I hope that doesn’t happen this year.” Kevin Little, president of sophomore cabinet, said.
To show your support and school spirit, follow the parade’s journey from the front parking lot down Gross Point road to Lincoln and then Oakton street.
