For the second time in his high school career, senior Skylar LeVine has qualified for the IHSA state golf tournament that will take place Oct. 16 and Oct. 18. LeVine’s score of 76 guaranteed him fourth place for the top ten individual spots to advance.
After last year’s sectional appearance not ending the way he hoped, LeVine is very excited to compete down at state.
“After last year I am hyped to come back strong,” LeVine said, “now, without the pressure of getting here I should be able to relax at state.”
Coach Mitch Stern is thrilled to see LeVine qualify again. He is hoping for a great performance seeing this will be LeVine’s last opportunity to compete at the high schooler.
“He has earned every ounce of it. Bloomington or bust,” Stern said.
The IHSA state tournament will take place at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course in Bloomington, Illinois.

I wish I was half as cool as my little brother, which would still be four times as cool as Nate Lee.
