Niles West will be hosting the ACT test on Saturday Dec. 12 at 8 a.m..
Students who registered are to arrive at school before 7:45 a.m. through the auditorium entrance, where you will get your testing room assignments. Testing coordinator Ms. Mary Nolan-Bridges will be there to escort students to their appropriate room.
Nolan-Bridges feels it’s a good idea to take this test several times.
“It is a good idea to take the test several times, as it helps in improving you score. Many students take the test both their junior and senior years. Juniors usually take the test later in their junior year, and seniors usually take the test in September and October of their senior year. The scores are used by many colleges in determining if a student will be accepted,” Nolan-Bridges said.
Students who are taking the test must bring their admission ticket, a current photo ID, two number 2 pencils, and an accepted calculator. A list of acceptable calculators can be found on the ACT website.
