Sometimes people don’t want to put a lot of makeup on, or they just want to go for a natural look rather than all blown out. A very natural makeup look can be simple, yet still remain classy.
The first thing is a primer, but it isn’t mandatory. Primer is just supposed to smooth the makeup going on, and depending on what type of skin you have, it could be a mattifying/luminizing primer. Therefore, you don’t necessarily need to put on primer if you just want a natural and easy look.
Instead of putting a foundation on, which will offer more full coverage, bb or cc cream is a really good substitute. It’ll give off a little tint, without the entire coverage and thickness that a foundation will give.
If you’re still worried about a blemish or dark circles, concealer is really nice and you don’t have to use it over your entire face. There are some super lightweight concealers that are perfect for a simple look. You could just put it on and rub/dab it in really quick and you’ll be okay.
If you have excessively oily skin, or just like the mattifying look that powder gives off, I recommend putting powder on. It isn’t needed if you have dry skin or if your skin is normal. It really all depends on your skin type. I highly suggest a translucent powder because you can put on a lighter concealer and a darker tinted moisturizer and then set it with a translucent powder. The powder won’t add any color, it’ll just mattify your skin and set all the creams/liquids applied previously.
That should be good enough for face, but other than that, applying your favorite mascara(s) should complete the look.
Overall, it depends on what you like, and what you prefer and how much coverage you feel you need that day. Changing around a couple products can still offer a simple look as well, it’s just playing around with what you like best.
