Due to technical difficulties and conflicts, Red and White Scrimmage football game has been moved to Saturday, Aug 20. This Friday. Aug 19, the boys sophomore football team was supposed to scrimmage against boys varsity.
During the storm one of the power boxes was hit by lightning and is not functioning right as of now. Since the game is moved to Saturday morning, the lights won’t be needed.
“There was a team whose coach thought they needed a little more practice so we moved it to Saturday,” head football coach Scott Baum said. “Our athletic department also has a meeting with coaches and athletes in the morning so we thought we’d have a better attendance at the meeting and the scrimmage if we moved it to after the meeting at eleven.”
“I don’t really mind that the game got changed. I do hope a lot of people come out because our team is a lot better than last year,” senior offensive tackle Josh Weichel said.
Freshmen and sophomores will be on the field at 10:15 a.m and varsity will be on the field at 11 a.m
