This Friday, August 19th, get your nomination forms ready for this year’s homecoming court.
In order to be on the court, someone else must nominate you, and the nominee must accept the application.
“It’s a great way to represent your school and to get into some school spirit…It’s just fun to be apart of something different that not everyone else is apart of,” activities director Katie Odell said.
Announcing this year’s King and Queen is going to be a different process than in to past years. To continue the suspense throughout the whole week, the winners will be announced at the pep assembly on the Friday before homecoming, rather than at homeroom on Tuesday.
The nominees for King and Queen will participate in spirit week, wear their sashes, sit on the stage at the pep assembly, and be on the float during the homecoming parade.
In order to cast their votes for King and Queen, students will be going online. There will also be a brief description of each nominee, so voters will have a better idea of each candidate.
Odell will email seniors this Friday with more information on the application process.
