The Business and Education for Students in Transition (BEST) Fair will take place at Niles North high school from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
According to the BEST website, the goal of the fair is to “provide up-to-date information regarding available community services for students with disabilities.”
BEST Fair is a valuable informational resource for special need students to attend with their parents.
“It is a resource fair for students with special needs, their parent/guardians, and other professionals. There are guest speakers and representatives from different agencies,” special education teacher Sean DeFelice said.
There will be special events geared towards informing students and their parents about working opportunities.
“This year’s fair will feature a guest speaker from the Work Incentive and Planning Assistance (WIPA), which will provide information about how work earnings affect state benefits,” DeFelice said.
The BEST Fair is open to special education students from Niles North and Niles West.
