Indo-Pak night is to be held Saturday, April 8th at 7pm in the Niles West auditorium. The night features cultural dances from not only the Indo-Pak club at Niles West, but other schools including Niles North, Lane Tech, Maine East, and more.
The performances this Saturday are used to express and reflect on the cultures the clubs promote, such as American and South Asian culture.
Activities director Katie Odell is excited to see the performances and to watch the hard work of the students in action.
“It’s a night for both North and West Indo-Pak clubs to come together and do a performance for the community and their families. They’ve been intensely practicing and it has all come down to Indo-Pak night this Saturday.” she said.
Senior Aliya Lukose encourages students to come out and see what the club has prepared for the night.
“I’m excited to perform and to see all the other wonderful performances by high school kids not only from D219 but also from other school districts. I’m also very excited to see the dance group, Marquette Mazaa perform,” Lukose said. “I’m proud of all the hard work that my group and I have put into these past couple of months.”
