Well, we’ve almost made it through the school year. Summer is finally here…almost. I’m sure no one even needs any reminder about that, though, considering I’m sure everyone is counting down the days, or minutes, until that final bell rings and frees us for the summer. I mean who wouldn’t be excited for summer vacation? There’s the obvious reason that there’s no school (unless you’re stuck in summer school, and to those of you, good luck!), late nights with friends, sleeping in until noon, vacations (hopefully), and trips to the beach. Best of all? Three months of no homework or a single minute of class!
Although there won’t be any school, make sure you still check in on the NWN every once in a while. Over the summer, we’ll be making a few changes to try and make you love our site even more than you already secretly do. So, check in every once in a while. We’ll be bringing you feedback from when our fellow students study languages abroad the world in France, Germany, and China.
When we get back to school on August 23, make sure you check up on your very own NWN. While you’re unfortunately getting back into our school routines, we’ll be bringing you all the details about the changes made over the summer like the changes to the cell phone policy or the new catering company (That’s right! We’re getting new food!) or how long it will be until the South Lobby will be finished (if the construction for it takes anywhere near as long as the new gymnastics gym did).
You’re probably wondering why I’m telling you all this. Well, next year, I’ll be the new editor in chief for the NWN given that Rozy Kanjee graduated. With that said, I hope that all of you keep the NWN in mind over the next three months between sleeping in and getting sunburn at the beach. If you have ideas on how we can make the NWN even better, send us a suggestion in our drop box; otherwise, just stay tuned for more news about what’s going on here at West. Have a great summer, everyone! I’ll see you next year!
