By Sam Galanopoulos, Staff Writer

With the fall and winter seasons approaching, no one wants to be outside in the bitter weather. Cuddling up in bed, watching a movie, or reading a book are great things to do, but who doesn’t love jamming out to music in front of your bedroom mirror. This year has dropped new, different albums across all genres of music that need to be listened to. Make sure you take the time to break down to some latest hit on one of your nights in this season.

Flicker by Niall Horan

This awesome folk-pop album by Niall Horan is not one to miss. Flicker consists of thirteen songs inspired by a relationship that is breaking down. Horan’s use of simple, effective words are delivered through his lyrics. When you listen to the album, three songs to look out for are “Flicker,” “On the Loose,” and “This Town.”

Life Changes by Thomas Rhett

Rhett’s country-pop album has been on the top charts since its release date Sept. 1. The purpose for him creating this album was to express his personal experiences and stories to his fans. Rhett has recently become successful by opening up to his fan base and the effects of that are seen in the continuous praise of his talent. When you are in the car, with the windows down, and it’s warm outside, you should blast these three songs: “Drink a Little Beer,” “Sixteen,” and “Life Changes.”

Gemini by Macklemore

Gemini is a very personal album to Macklemore. Being his first full album released in twelve years following a multitude of singles, he really wanted to be careful and simple with what he was producing. If you are sitting on a bus on a way to a sporting event or just want a heavy song to bust out rapping to, this album has many singles to offer. Three in particular to look our for are “Ten Million,” “Intentions,” and Over It.”

Beautiful Trauma by P!nk

This latest album by P!ink is considered to be confessional pop, due to her rigorous use of emotion and talking within the songs about personal matters. With this being her seventh album overall, although it’s been five years since her last album was released, she thrived to recreate her voice through her songs. Critics say this is one of the best vocal demonstrations that P!nk has to offer: belting, whispering, and falsetto. Three top hit in this latest album are “Beautiful Trauma,” “What About Us,” and “I Am Here.”

Tell Me You Love Me by Demi Lovato

If you are ever home alone and Bluetooth connect your IPhone to your speaker, play this album by Grammy Award-winner Demi Lovato. Tell Me You Love Me is a twelve-song album full of crazy beats, vocal runs, and clever lyrics. Lovato’s reason for creating this pop-R&B album is to express her over-coming of addictions, her past relationships, and the new version of herself. Three fantastic songs to listen to are “Sorry Not Sorry,” “Tell Me You Love Me,” and “Daddy Issues.”
