Senior Panoramic to be Held Tuesday

The senior panoramic picture will take place during homeroom on Tues., Nov. 7 in the contest gym. All seniors must meet in the contest gym and sit in the bleachers in order to take the picture.

Senior year entails many “lasts,” like being the last year of high school, the last year with friends, and the last time seeing some people who go to your school. Nevertheless, there is much to look forward to during senior of high school, such as the senior panoramic picture.

“We take about ten pictures in a row and pick the best one out of all of them, then print the pictures for students purchasing them,” student activities director Katie Odell said.

The panoramic picture is a memory that students will have from high school, thus the picture will be reviewed to make sure no inappropriate things are in it.

“Everything must be appropriate. Any hand gestures or anything that is inappropriate will cause the students to have to retake the picture. In past years we had to retake the picture or edit the pictures themselves,” Odell said.

In past years, seniors have worn shirts from clubs they have been in or shirts that spell out a slogan with their graduating year.

“This is going to be a memorable thing from high school, and I’m excited to see what people will wear on the senior panoramic picture day,” senior Lineya Andrews said.

Many current seniors enjoy the senior panoramic picture because it is a lasting memory of their senior class and Niles West.

“I’m excited that we are finally starting senior activities, and it will be a nice little thing to have to remember my senior year,” senior Lisa Jahjah said.
