Tonight, on Oct. 10 at 6:30 pm, at Niles West in the contest gym, Niles West DECA and Expanding Lives will be hosting the Battle of the Junior Highs. Niles West seniors will compete in a co-ed basketball tournament by representing their old middle schools. At the event, there will be a raffle (each ticket will cost $1), in-between game activities, along with DECAlicious and pizza being sold.

Expanding Lives is a nonprofit, started by french teacher Leslie Natzke, that hosts leadership conferences and supports women’s education in West Africa. All proceeds from the Battle of the Junior Highs will go towards supporting Expanding Lives and a local scholarship for women’s education.

There will be an entrance fee of $5. Make sure to throw on your old middle school gear and support your team tonight.
