“Too Hot To Handle” the popular, drama-filled reality TV-show has released its third season. If you’ve watched reality TV, you know that with every new season comes a new cast. But before we get into the dramatics, what is this show really about?

The objective is to find love and build meaningful relationships. A group of ten single contestants arrive, unaware they are on a game show. But after a couple hours, the conditions of the show are revealed. The biggest shocker to the contestants being that they have the chance to win a cash prize of $200,000 at the expense of a reckless summer.

Now don’t get fooled, the only way to win is to avoid physical contact. This may seem like an easy task, but with these specific contestants, it may be the hardest thing they’ve had to do in their entire lives.

In fact, it’s almost difficult to watch when people choose physical contact over the $200,000. Luckily, there are mandatory workshops they attend to open up a bit more, build genuine connections and realize that there is more to a relationship besides physical touch.

Although “Too Hot To Handle” has a good reputation, this season was definitely not so hot. Unlike previous seasons, this one was very boring. Some of the workshops were repetitive and didn’t include much change — in fact, this season was kind of hard to get through. Even though there were some parts that were interesting like the love triangle and love square, it only lasted about two to three episodes which isn’t a lot. Although the excitement of the show died down quite quickly due to the lack of drama, there were bits and pieces of tension that kept me hooked.

The only reason I would watch this season is because of the building tension between two of the contestants, Nathan Soan Mingomezulu and Holly Scarfone who’ve been close since the first episode. Although they are tight, their relationship is often put to the test when new contestants join. This is to see if one another would be faithful when there are new players not knowing they are on a show.

In all, I was very disappointed with this season. I almost didn’t want to finish it because of how boring it had become. If you are looking for something to listen to in the background, this season is definitely perfect to watch. Even though the entertainment itself wasn’t great, it did portray a great amount of diversity, so for that, I will rate this season a 6/10.
