With such an exciting NFL season ending two weeks ago, it became even more exciting with an incredible slate of games over the weekend. The Super Bowl favorites are the Kansas City Chiefs, as they look to continue their dominance over the AFC. Over in the NFC, the Eagles have looked like the best team in the NFL with quarterback Jalen Hurts playing like an MVP the whole season.

Many people believed the Minnesota Vikings had a good chance to make it far in the playoffs, but I did not. I strongly believe that they were not a great team even though they have a 13-4 record, which is one of the best in the NFL. But they had a negative point differential. Point differential is the number of points scored and given up. Usually, teams with such a good record have a positive point differential. When the Vikings win games they would win by blowouts but the losses this year would get demolished by teams. Most recently they lost to the Green Bay Packers 41-17. The score looks better than the game actually it was at 41-3 with starters in the game for both teams, but the Packers decide to put the backups in the last quarter. Although their playoff game against the New York Giants wasn’t a blowout, they still lost and ended their season on Sunday.

As for who I think will win the Super Bowl and who will make it to the Super Bowl in general the Kansas City Chiefs. I don’t think it will be easy for the Chiefs especially if they have to play the Buffalo Bills and possibly the Cincinnati Bengals who come into the playoffs on a roll. I just think Patrick Mahomes this year has become better than he was last year. Many people thought when the Chiefs traded superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins, it would result in the offense having a huge drop-off. Mahomes had something to say about that setting a new NFL record for passing yards. Passing for 5,250 yards and throwing 41 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. I just think no one in the AFC will be able to stop the offense from the Chiefs. In the NFC, I think the San Fransico 49ers will make it to the Super Bowl. Even though they are playing with a third-string quarterback by the name of Brock Purdy who was the last pick in the 2022 NFL draft, Purdy still doesn’t look like he was the worst player in the draft. Since his first start this year Purdy has thrown 13 touchdowns to four interceptions. The midseason trade for running-back Christan McCaffery has elevated this offense to the next level to one of the most elite in the NFL. The main reason I believe that the 49ers will make it to the Super Bowl is the defense led by Nick Bosa who leads the NFL in sacks and is the likely NFL Defensive Player of The Year.  A defense that only gives up sixteen points per game is outstanding.

All though the 49er’s defense is one of the best I just think that Patrick Mahomes is too good and will lead the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.
