Even though the turkey’s all gone and there are four solid weeks before Winter Break begins, Niles West students have something to look forward to this month: Hot Chocolate with Principal Kaine Osburn.
Every Friday in the month of December, hot chocolate with all the fixings of whipped cream and marshmallows will be available in the cafeteria before first period.
“Hot Chocolate with the Principal was not my idea, but it has become one of my favorite events at Niles West, most of all because it gives me a chance to see so many kids face-to-face and to greet them as they begin their day,” said Osburn.
In past years, the choir serenaded the students or the jazz band and orchestra played to spread holiday spirit as students drank their hot chocolate.
Hot Chocolate with the principal will be available on Friday, Dec. 2, 9, 16, and 23.
