Announcement: Picture Day is This Wednesday!

Say cheese! Picture day for students and staff is Wednesday, Sept. 6, in the contest gym. This year students will go during their gym classes. Senior portraits are not a part of picture day. Seniors, make an appointment with Stuart Rodgers Photography by Oct. 25 for your portrait.

There were lots of things to do. I loved spending time with all the staff, and I feel like I got close to everyone. The parks were very pretty because all the leaves were falling," Hortega said.

West Reacts: The Presidential Election
Jackie Chis (West alum '16) gets ready to cast her vote at the Lincolnwood Public Library. She showed up to vote because she believes that the result of this election may have an adverse impact on women across the country. "I think that this election has the potential to be a very historically significant one—we might even have our first female black president. When I'm voting, I'm voting for women like me and women not like me so they can advocate for themselves," Chis said.
