Two letters indicating a bomb threat to Niles West High School were found Tuesday, Nov. 20 in two different locations by students during the school day.
According to an email sent to parents, staff, and students of Niles West by principal Kaine Osburn, the threat does not seem likely to happen, but measures will be taken to ensure security of the Niles West community and building. The original author of the letter is still unknown.
“We continue to look into locating the source of the letter,” Osburn said. “We are making sure all steps, in terms of investigation and security of the building, are best practices.”
This is not the first record of a bomb threat at Niles West.

I’m not surprised either way. It could be a student (most likely) or the real thing. I really hope it isn’t real though. I’d like to come back from Thanksgiving knowing that I won’t be possibly dead a day after monday. I’d also still like to have a school to go. Anyone besides me surprised that they would actually miss the school if it were bombed?
