Student government is requesting that the student body decides the spirit days for the week of March 18-22. Vote below for your favorite spirit days! Comment below with any other suggestions.
To be honest, half of the suggested days are pretty lame. How about super hero day, ‘Murica day, inside-out day, 80’s workout clothes day, favorite jersey day, bum day?
I don’t like any of them. DECADE WEEK is the best option. For example, Monday would be 20’s day, Tuesday would be 50’s day, and so on and so forth. Everyone would do it; it’s fun, it’s easy, and you it’s not stupid.
Hey students, just an FYI… These aren’t ideas supplied by student government, these are the ideas supplied by the home rooms to student government. So! If you have a better idea please list it below, that would be more helpful. Thanks. 🙂
FYI, I know a ton of student/homeroom ideas aren’t on that list, so if you could go ahead and put them on, it would be helpful. Thanks! (seriously though, medieval day…?)
It is the responsibility of homeroom teachers to provide Gov’t with a chosen representative. Student Gov’t cannot just “put” people on as representatives.
And seriously though, your non-Gov’t peers came up with Medieval Day.
In my homeroom, we came up with several great ideas that our representative, Sharon Matthew, recorded. Among them was decade week, which is obviously very popular according to the comments on the story. I think that Niles West & student gvnt should seriously consider this, as it seems that many students would be participating.
You should have like sports day or formal day or party day or something that people will enjoy. Not this stuff. PJ day and Student-Teacher switch day are fine but everything else is pointless.
The school wonders why we have no school spirit and why classes rebel and make their own days, and then they give us options like “medieval day.” -___________________- excuse me while I dig up my joust and sword from the back of my closet. Student government really needs to rethink the options that they’re giving to high school students. If you really want us to participate, let us have a say.

So you are telling me that only SEVEN ideas were submitted from all the homerooms in the school?

These ideas were all brought up by the Homeroom Reps and Gov’t is simply presenting the school with the most prominent suggestions.
If you have concerns, please create better communication with your Homeroom Rep.
