There were lots of things to do. I loved spending time with all the staff, and I feel like I got close to everyone. The parks were very pretty because all the leaves were falling," Hortega said.

She showed up to vote because she believes that the result of this election may have an adverse impact on women across the country. "I think that this election has the potential to be a very historically significant one—we might even have our first female black president.
