- Free Museum Days (for Illinois residents)
- Adler Planetarium has free evening admission days every Wednesday from 4-10 p.m.
- The Field Museum offers free basic admission and discounted passes every Wednesday all year long.
- The Art Institute of Chicago offers free evening admissions on Thursday evenings (5-8 p.m.) until September 26.
- The Shedd Aquarium offers free evening admission (5-9 p.m.) on September 3, 17 and 24.
- The Griffin Museum of Science and Industry offers free admission on September 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 and 30.
- The DuSable Black History and Education Center offers free admission every Wednesday.
- The Museum of Contemporary Art offers free admission every day for people under 18 and over 18 every Tuesday.
- The Illinois Holocaust Museum offers free admission on the last Friday of the month throughout the year.
