A College/Career Drop-In Day, a day where juniors are invited to stop by their counselor’s office for an informal meeting where they can think and plan ahead about how to get ready for things like college and careers, is scheduled to be held on Friday, Jan. 27 in the guidance office .
“It’s a day where juniors think about what to do next to get ready for life after Niles West,” said counselor Yvonne Miller.
When meeting with counselors, juniors will have the ability to check their credits and to start talking about researching colleges. Juniors will also be able to discus what career they would like to pursue, and their counselors can help them choose classes for the next year that will help them on the path toward that career.
While it is not required for juniors to participate in Drop-In Day, it is encouraged, since student registration begins next week, said Miller.
