In efforts to get people involved and show the freshmen a large variety of clubs, the annual activities fair will showcase about 35 clubs on Tuesday, Sept.18 through Friday, Sept. 21 in the Student Commons during all lunch periods.
Student Activities Director Jessica Ogulnik says that the fair provides more opportunities to the student body.
“So that kids that haven’t yet joined an activity can see what there is available to them, as well as a way for kids to show each other what amazing things they accomplish here at Niles West,” Ogulnik says.
NARWHALS, sponsored by science teacher Thomas Jodelka, is a usual participant in the fair. The club tries to raise awareness about the environment.
” We do seem to get more members at the beginning of the year, and I am sure that the activities fair is one of the reasons,” Jodelka said.
Another club that will be involved in the activities fair is German Club. German club watches German films, goes to German restaurants, and overall have German experiences.
“German club does lots of activities related to the German language and culture,” sponsor Caroline Ahearn said.
