Niles West News website hit 500,000 pageviews on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 since its launch on Sept. 20, 2010.
The NWN wanted to reach 500k on their anniversary Sept. 20 by midnight; however, reaching it the next day was said to be just as remarkable.
“It’s exciting to have hit 500k around our two-year anniversary; all of our hard work has paid off,” said Editor in Chief Ivana Kosir.
The NWN celebrated during second period today by having cake and cookies for all of the work that has been put into the site.
“It wasn’t hard to get here because I feel that it happened organically,” said adviser Evelyn Lauer. “This past month we really promoted our stories via social media sites, but it’s our strong content that brings readers back.”
